Research Question(s)
As i looked furhter into some of my research from my previous taopics proposed in my preliminary research it became apparent that there was a focus i was actually trying to articulate but have been having a hard time figuring out the direction.
so starting from the beginning...
Im interested in doing my thesis project on a topic that as the days go by i feel becomes increasingly relivant. The topic of equality in america seems to be a one step forward and two steps back kind of thing and its really for lack of a better work, annoying.
SO i started looking into basic gender equality, and the status of the world in that regard. After visiting the UN website and reviewing the sustainable development goals. the SDG is a area of goals that the UN has compiled as "the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all."
GOAL #5 details the UN's goal toward gender equality and i personally felt this was a good starting point to think globaly and widdle down the direction of my research to identify a smaller problem within this larger global problem.
Then I started to make a list of areas that gender inequality is observed, i did with the help of the Assosiation of American colleges & universities online periodicle, Liberal Education, where i found an article Titled " Gender Equity: who needs it?". [AAC&U]
Area of improvements include:
1. economical inequality
2. educational
3. violence against women
4. political
I researched the areas of improvements that i felt most passionate about (at the moment), then started asking myself questions related to all the articles i researched...
as seen here: [i will make more sense of this, and type it up in the future]

So after reviewing my questions i've laid out for myself, i've come to a work in progress research question, or at least a question that will help me further my search for a clearer understanding.
why is being a women in a non traditional role/job overly critiqued and met with negative remarks rather than positive, and how is that shaping the perception of the youth.
[additonal questions i have]
is whether or not there is a need for positive/empowerment amoung girls/women?
what is the age group in need if so?
what does gender negativity do to men/women?
what are the effects?
Why does feminism have a negative connection in certain social circles.
the question is still broad but i hope to file it down more as i begin talks with my SME.
